Who was that? Can we hear it AGAIN? If so, when? Peace!” - John

At CJSF, we strive to carve out space for our volunteers to find community, make new friends, and to find their niche.
Using those opportunities, though, in turn, Typically Tuesdays holds space for listeners to think about new ideas, to be creative, to explore and to make fun and play.
That's what CJSF has offered us
Home is where your heart is, and my heart is with the music and the people of CJSF.
My home at CJSF coincided with my landing in Canada as a permanent resident.
You are sure to find some music you will love on CJSF... my radio home and my music home.
Donate to CJSF because we support local, up-and-coming and under-represented artists from Vancouver and around the world.
We play what we want, when we want... to support CJSF is to support Freedom on the airwaves!
When I started at CJSF back in 2010 [at] Ryan Fletcher's show, I found that it was very nice that they had water provided, a little microwave, which was very interesting. It was almost like home, and I felt very much at home having all the comforts of home
[My time at CJSF] was very special because Ryan Fletcher was instrumental in getting me up there and introduced me to radio back in 2010 on his show, Melodies in Mind after working on the show for a few years, it really grew on me, the music, and just the talent that we have in Vancouver I just loved the music. So it stuck with me, I went down the right road.
Why should folks donate to CJSF? Because it feels right. They know where it is going. They like the inclusive environment. It is useful to their neighbourhood. There are people on the shows that sound like they care about things. It is different from the other channels
Home is where people can speak their mind without fear of reprisals. In my show, musicians can speak from their heart in music..
People should donate to CJSF because it's where grassroots voices are featured while major media outlets are being more consolidated than ever via mergers and layoffs.
[CJSF] is the only radio station that brings the best music (at least my show!) and [where] persistent listeners will pay attention and donate generously! We should show passion to the programs when they go on air!

Representing and Reflecting the Community
As a campus/community station, CJSF provides a platform for voices and points of view that are key parts of our community but are rarely expressed in mainstream media.
This includes music that isn't top-40, news that isn't covered by corporate media outlets, and stories told by the wide variety of voices that make up our community.

Your support is important to our financial health. We do not receive core funding from any level of government.
Our main source of funding comes from SFU students and is not adjusted for inflation: each year it buys a little less. Your Fundrive donation is vital to keeping up with ever-growing costs.
